E-mail from the elderly woman

Dear Emma,

How‘s it going my dear:)? Yesterday I had an interesting experience.

I went to the bank to make a deposit and cash a check. I and my grandson Tommy were in the bank.

Suddenly, people in the bank shouted, so I and Tommy were surprised too. All tellers and people in the bank

were frightened. A man with dirty clothes pulled out a gun. People were immobilized with terror. Next he gave

the teller a note and got two bags of money. Then he started to run away. People in the bank became silent. I

saw all the situations and I tried to be calm. I quickly started to run after the robber. I hit him hard with my

long umbrella. I stopped him and a policeman immediately took the robber. After a few minutes later, the bank

manager gave me a reward. The robber was a felon. I didn't know that. Tommy said me that he was so proud

of me. I felt really great. Also I was on the news this morning! Never before had I experienced such a

dramatic experience.

How do you think about this story? Emma, I'm really missing you. It has been about three months since we had

seen each other. Please call me, as soon as you see this e-mail. I have lots of interesting stories to tell you. Say

hello to your husband.

Warmly,

Sophie
